RQuake Team Cooperative is a new and exciting "players versus the monsters" Quake mod just completed today by RocketGuy and is running on his NetQuake server coop.runequake.com:26003 (JoeQuake/QRack, etc.). This mod features several power-ups, a flashlight for darker maps and a "radar" to assist in locating other members of your team.

His server runs custom maps and it is virtually required that you have them (see the RQuake site for further information on that). Read more here ...

Notes: It is a GPL mod and the parent mod, RuneQuake, does have a Quakeworld version so it may be possible for an enterprising and hardworking QuakeC developer to make it work on a QW server if putting in the effort.

After a long delay ... the answer is FreeBSD = yes. I couldn't tell you about the compatibility with various versions of FreeBSD.

hehe, we've still got a short list of kinks to work out still. But it's mighty fun to play.

We have small issues on 5 maps .. one being a jump height issue on The Forgotten Tomb.
