Netquake (and derivatives) is great and all but its just too prohibitive to play

Seeing as the whole point of a community is to play together, hopping on a QW server is the best idea

As for the interviews, that's a good idea, but needs some kind of advance notice that's not day-of (as happened in my case)

Another idea is a quake podcast - informal discussion format (anywhere between 15 minutes to 2+ hours) with various guests. All that is required is a minimal bullet-point agenda, and some basic rapport between participants (which I think we quake players allready have)... If you organize such a podcast, I don't mind joining, but 1) it needs to be something more than just "random people meeting at a video chat" and 2) it needs some kind of advance warning that's more than 24 hours
