Hallo Quakers,

i have found out that to play with a mouse with a small weight is great.
The usal mouseīs have a weight of 140 gram, as a sample there are two mouseīs of Razer the Abyssus and the Orochi (Orochi needs just an extension cable)
both with a weight of only 70 gram !!
Maybe itīs an option for some Players..

Logitech Mouseman Wheel exterior with a higher quality rubber on the sides with the interior of the G400.

That is the best mouse.

For now G400 will do.

Lurq put a MX300 sensor into my Logitech Pilot Mouse, That was the best mouse i ever had. However someone at work stole it from me back in 2008 :/

I think G400 is nice. Obviously i suck with shaft, but that's maybe not because of the mouse

Is it good enough with a cheap mousemat for that g400? What is good, a "hard" one or one made of cloth?

Thinking about buying a new mouse and mat. I dont play that much quake and will never be elite but it is good for overall ergonomy compared to my mini-mouse I got now.

I swear on my old icemat, itīs a glassmat, still the company was swallowed by SteelSeries and they distribute the mat now under their name.
The name of the mat is now Steelseries I-2 -> http://steelseries.com/products/surfaces/steelseries-experience-i-2
Maybe they have more remarks.
Never without it !

Over the years, i had many setups.
i think my current setup is the best i ever had
G400 + Roccat taito
I owned much more expensive mice and mousepads, but these are my choice!
Renzo likes g300, is smaller.

hugs!

I do not like g300, I actually sold it because it is way too small. I'm using Roccat Savu atm and it is a mouse I actually like somewhat.

Wheel Mouse Optical, Intelimouse 3.0, Intelimouse 1.1, Razer Deathadder 3G &/Or 3.5G, Logitech G400 and the SteelSeries Xai are the ones I particularly enjoy using the most.

SteelSeries QcK+

Well, this mousepad has carapaceīs seal of approval for use with a Logitech G400. Itīs slight resistance enables you to enjoy a much higher sensitivity while maintaining a steady aim.

Edit: If you donīt intend to game alot you could probably use whatever as a mousepad, and never notice the difference.

I agree with g400 being the best there is.

My current setup is the best one I ever had;

Mouse: Logitech g400 @ 1000hz
Mousemat: 1030 sUrface Archetype (hard plastic mat with two different sides. I use the slippery one and it's awesome. It might be a little too small for someone with extremely low sensitivity though. To me it is the best pad anyway)

i never ever tried G400 before. Moreover as I remember i didn't try any Logitech mouse since Mouseman+ and Wingman.
At the moment I'm using Zowie EC1 + Steelseries Qck

Maybe i should try g400 if so many people use it...

I just ordered the Savu and I've also used the G300. It was 2 small for me as well. It was not bad for Quake but I sucked with it on TF2 and newer shooters.

Btw Renzo, which mouse did you use to achieve this very high LGC3 score? 8292

Must have been Logitech G9 since the result is rather old one.
