Would anyone be interested in a QW Duel tourney open to everyone (except the Finns, they have their own tourney) to fill the gap until the next Duelmania?

Oh and how about TB3 instead of TB5?

Perhaps consult with duelmania and their plans to run another season in this half of the year. In my opinion starting in March is too late, why wait?

Yeah I agree, I want to play in a comp (and i'm happy to run it) but March will probably be too late for me. I will only play for Winter most likely and I begin travelling again in March and April.

(I just messaged dopeskillz if he'd be willing to run it earlier and i'd be happy to help)

Another idea is to see if anyone would be interested in a couple of !phil style one-day events?

Maybe Sunday 22nd. 16-player limit starting at about 5 or 6pm CET with 1 hour to complete each round.

The finns would be welcome also of course.

Even if finns got their own tourney planning, I see no obvious reason to excluse those finns that want to play in this as well.

More tourneys the better! And the earlier Duelmania starts up, the better for most of us I think. Great that you want to help out, dirt

I think excluding the finns was a joke...

At first, the idea warms my heart and I feel happy. But then, when I start thinking of my own participation I feel I'm so far out of shape as can be, and dunno if I wanna get into the heat again?
I'm in some kind of consideration phase. Rikoll, what are your thoughts on this?

bps - grow a pair you want to know about being out of shape? I just started playing qw again after 5 years of not playing anything.

I'm probably going to cap it at 16 players and there is only 6 spots left.

GND - Can you please message me about your registration. I sent you a PM via the tourney system. So far you are the only Non-European to enter. As the competition is European based you will probably have to play your games in Europe. Assume you get about 100ms to London then this mean you will have the worst ping even against Russians on that server (Who I think will get about 80ms). If you get under 100ms, great. Just make sure you play on an antilag server (Which london is)

what if some of those who registered now don't show up on sunday? wouldn't it be better to launch the registrations only 30 minutes before the start of the event?

Bps: i also feel very out of shape, and i haven't had much motivation to do anything about it yet either. But at least this tourney could be an inspiriation to do something about it. In worst case, ill just end up losing, and be more inspired to get better to next tourney. Any additional tourney is simply å good thing, imo. Also noticed avenger signing up, and he has played some really good duels lately. No matter the format, Im gonna participate, and i hope you do the same bps

The tourney system has a "check in" facility which confirms their registration. This period opens up 1 hour before.

Also there is a waiting list so if someone doesn't show the 1st person on the waiting list gets their spot.

My intention was to run TB5 for this one and TB3 for the next so don't worry johnny, you are safe in the tourney

In future I also had plans for a dm4-only aero-only etc

Also - only 1 spot left!

You might have to wait a while for the aero-only.... gotta do TB3, then dm4 only, dm2 only, dm6 only.

But I probably won't get much further than the TB3 tourney as I believe there is a couple of other comps starting soon. My tourney is to just fill in time until these other new tourneys get under way.

We now have our 16 players. I need every to now "Check-in" confirming their availability to play Sunday. Once everyone has checked it the draw will be generated.

People can still register for the waiting list.

No reason people can't start their games early also once the draw is up. This would also mean we could do double elimination and not have to finish at 3am.

Checked in, however you should know that people like Locust are quite busy irl and probably doesn't read this forum alot, even though he wants to play. One needs to contact him directly and tell him to check in and such for him to do it.

Just sayin'

I didnt realise that this check-in thing was a requirement, it wont let me create the brackets until people check in. The website only lets me contact people by PM on the site as well.... so he'd have to check it anyway.

Pain in the ass i know...
