I recently reinstalled windows and decided to switch to my tft which can handle up to 75hz, and today I decided to switch back to the crt so that I can play qw without raging over how much my tft sucks.
Anyway ezquake is acting as if my tft was still plugged in, it still has this gamma problem where it's alot darker when I start the client then what the gamma suggests, so if it's at 0.5 I gotta switch it to 0.6 then back to 0.5, and it's 100% brighter pretty much.
(this isn't really a problem for me it's just that whenever I've switched monitors before this problem has ONLY been on the tft, but now it's on the crt aswell.)

I'm running 800*600 in ezquake and I usually do it at 120 hz on my crt but now if I go even to 80hz the screen will get distorted as if it can't handle the hz.
So wtf do I do? I updated drivers, I changed the port on the gfx card for the monitor, nothing worked sofar.

Just tried to play some now to see what it would be like considering I got eql quarters tonight, and I seriously have same amount of tearing that my tft gets on the crt now.
seriously wtf is going on

Try unticking the box "Show modes not supported by this monitor" or something like it where you can set the frequency in windows.

Leave that unticked and it should work better.

Try setting -nohwgamma on the commandline for the gamma issue.
