We have all been playing quake for a long time now and i think most of us witnessed some games that stuck on our memory. I'm going to list some of the games that, for different reasons, called my attention and i was wondering if you guys could share some of your own;

Valla x Mix

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/sr.thiago/4on4_f_vs_mixdm3060210-2128.jpg

Description: In this game Valla looked absolutely flawless, scoring 141 frags with 100% efficiency, that was the first time i saw such a high frag count with 100% efficiency
Demo:: https://www.yousendit.com/download/MzZFUGhhU1A1R00wTVE9PQ

[AG] x hHh

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/sr.thiago/4on4_ag_vs_hhhe1m2_Dag_135_Frags.jpg

Description: in a clan war, dag played for [AG] as Devious to score 135 frags, playing a almost perfect game.
Demo: https://www.yousendit.com/download/MzZFUGhUSEJrUmxjR0E9PQ

]SR[ x pnc

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/sr.thiago/sr-pnc-dag-ownage-4on4.jpg

Description: Dag playing for slackers with Vana, Paradoks and Darklord scored a staggering 189 frags on dm2, this demo stands out mostly because it's dag playing with ]SR[.

--//--

I have some others to upload like the Dag x Reppie series, Reload scoring close to 300 frags on a 3min endif match, LA vs TVS on NQR 3 that the game ending was just epic.

Personal games:

One of the very first quake games I played (clan arena around 1999 or 2000 or so?) I was coming out of SNG into Ring area, rounding the corner, and got surprised by a rocket behind the corner (oldest move in the book, I know) but my heart jumped like in no other video game before or since and I won't ever forget it

Close duels on DM6, where I am losing 15-0 with 5 minutes left, and I come back to win it, those are pretty memorable And then one time I got 5-0 vs a guy 10x better than me and hid like a pussy and won 5-2 or so Too competitive, I know

Other games:
dag griffin DM6x6
gamer on DM6 with 40% LG and iron control
locust/fucu on DM4
lbn/russians on ZTNDM3
DM3/DM2 4on4
oldsk00l xamp/milton

Okay, I'm an old fart. I played Q1 from the day it released, to about 9 years later.
Two nights ago, I played my first QWCA match since 2005. I quickly realized how much I missed this game.
I guess I had finally stopped (unfavorably) comparing Q3's physics & gameplay to Q1. I did that for years.
Q1 is the best FPS ever. Rockets behave like rockets should, not Mento-powered throwpillows.
For so long, Q1 enveloped the entire worldwide online gaming community. There was no other show in town!

Anyway, Googling for recent QW information led me here. Glad there's a forum. Regarding this topic:

My first NQ/QW clan had several memorable matches against the best QW clans at the time (all losses...) like evil geniuses, the outsiders, ruthless bastards, stickmen, etc. but I don't have screenshots of those.

I played Thresh and most of his clan -- "Legends" -- in the Red Annihilation tournament (Netquake, not QW). Killed Thresh once, with a quad rocket, but killed myself at the same time no time for a screenshot but wished later that I had dropped the console and ss'ed that.

Fragged Killcreek several times in the same tourney . She kinda sucked but she was sortof a quake celebrity at the time.

This was a pickup game but outscoring Crash & Slam from Demolition was a big deal for me at the time. Bonus cameo of the most annoying shit-talker ever (The Best)

I have hundreds of screenshots and many are memorable to me, but I'm looking for some with memorable opponents??

anyway - thanks to all of you for keeping QW alive.

I totally remember The Best, I used to have all unused keys of my keyboard bound to shit talking scripts that were each on loop, so every single key had like a loop of 10 or 15 binds where each one is a different one and I would have these epic battles with The Best, hand tailoring my shit talking binds to his, and we would joke like I had 2 keyboards or something

pistdov and swerdnik and the whole stickman crew brings back memories also, but I was more around east coast dudes like ]]god and dt. and such...

I remember when akula server went down which was one of the best ca servers on east coast. Anyways now I am running a QWCA server myself, check it out: http://qw.quakephil.com

@ !phil: Sweet! The Best was epic. We used to tell HIM he must have two keyboards. Phil, my memory's bad but I definitely recognized your name (from WAY back) when GND told me to check out your qwca server. Weren't you involved with qw development in some fashion? Thanks for keeping the server online and I hope to see you around'
