I tried to install quakeworld on 2 laptops with the same properties:

- They were both from Siemens

- They both had SiS Mirage 3 graphics

After runing the game, during the menu page the game crashes (even before I start to play)

So the laptops were identical? Sounds like some kind of bug. If the laptops are identical it's impossible to tell (with the information you provided anyway) whether it is a driver bug or a bug in the client. I am assuming you are using ezQuake? Have you tried other clients to see if they crash?

However the chances are it will be some OpenGL-related stuff we won't able to do much about.
