No I don't have that build. And the server is on Windows Server 2003.

EDIT: I am going to Linux, having problems with windows server.

Razo, which file on the MVDSV site is for antilag?

When on linux, just checkout the svn version and put sv_antilag 2 in the default cfg

111 ms compared to the 82 ms on quakephil servers in New York. Not too bad considering the distance I suppose

mvdsv_0.29-ktx_1.36-server_pack-glibc_2.3.5.tgz

This is the one I downloaded.

Is the server still down? We're talking about Nobody's Alternative right?

Nobodys Alternative has been down for a week or so, but it's probably nothing to worry about. He most likely just has to start them again. I emailed Degy (The owner) and told him his servers are down...

I got my Linux running and qwserver installed. But whenever I type:

sudo chmod 0755 servers
./servers

It says permission denied for each port. I'll have to do some reading on this, I've never used Linux before but I am like a command away from starting the servers....

./servers: line 2: ./port1: permission denied
./servers: line 4: ./port2: permission denied
./servers: line 6: ./port3: permission denied

This is on Ubuntu.

You are failing something. If you use our server package, or take the latest configs from SVN, you do NOT need to chmod anything. All of the startup scripts in the package and from the SVN have execute flag set, I just double checked it 30 seconds ago. What you need to do is copy PAKs and possibly maps to the proper directories, then make some config adjustments and you're ready to go.

It must be because I don't have the latest SVN configs, but I am not sure where to download those (Trying to find the antilag one).

This is the file that I used mvdsv_0.29-ktx_1.36-server_pack-glibc_2.3.5.tgz

Pak 1,2 are in the right folder, and maps also.

Thanks Darin for these servers, I am going to check them out in just a bit! I hope that the other players from nobody's alt have found it!

I emailed Degy and he said that he had contacted his host to have them upgrade the OS on the server. They didn't ever reply back so he stopped payment until they respond. It is uncertain if it will return

I am not too big on KTX, I prefer plain old DM, not too many servers for that left in North America.

So yeah, I will check the server out, hope to see you there. I like to donate periodically to those who run the servers I use, I may contact you down the road to help.

Thanks!

Ahh thanks man! It's too bad about Degy's servers, they've been around a long time and he's probably sick of paying for them.

I plan to keep my servers up so don't worry, I just got the FFA going as of yesterday. I had some good help from Bigfoot (FODFFA).

I might setup a 1 page website, with some info and make a paypal donation. I don't expect people to help me, but something like that is always nice.

Just type connect quake-legion.net to get to the FFA server, and read the MOTD for info .
