5 servers are up and running.

1 - deatch32c only (195.54.142.7:28000)
4 - allround (195.54.142.7:28001-4)

You can use hostname pangela.se if you don't like IPs Please post comments about the servers, if you have any issues whatsoever.

Best regards

Nice ping for me from Finland. Would be great if you could add qwfwd server (or qwproxy or whatever it's called).

nice!

Two questions for you.
1) shouldn't (referring to Renzos port range standard I read sometime) the ports be 2850x and not 2800x?
2) can you give some more info about this server, like location, setup, connection, etc. And also: will it be reliable in let's say - 6 months or so from now?

cheers

I will see what I can do, it will probebly not be within this week, but next week, when I have some stats over bandwith usage and such.

Best regards

1) I didn't setup the FFA server with port 27500 as standard just because I were lazy when I added the firewall rules, but I could probebly change that next week when I can evaluate some comments and usage etc.
2) Located in Stockholm, Sweden. It's a DL380 G4 with 2x Xeon 2,4GHz, 3024 RAM, 120~ HDD, 100 Mbit connection just a few meters from one of the best widespreed backbones in Sweden. My goal is to have this server setup permanent, and maybe to add an extra server, if the usage is high.

It's not my port range standard, and I will not endorse it either.

It's up to the server admin decide what ports they want to use, I use 28000-range on two big finnish servers and 27500-range on danish servers (wg is one of them).

Now, about pings, this is REALLY good pinging server to me (Finland, Elisa Oyj), comparable to IOP days. Ditch that FFA port and run at least 3 allround ports (ok, you got 4 already) and I can guarantee you will get a lot of players there.

I did setup a Qizmo just a minute ago, it's located on port 27500.

I did setup a Qizmo on port 27500 and killed the FFA for now. It is located in the same datacenter as the old IOP servers

I for one don't want to use Qizmo anymore. Qwfwd is so much easier for routing, and the speccing part is done with QTV of course.

But awesome to get more swedish servers with a good connection. Thanks.

Latency vs other servers, good to know if you use this (great) server for rerouting (this is a lazynote to myself, but i guess others can use it too )

eq.mine.nu = 1ms
flavium.mine.nu = 3ms
quakeworld.fi = 7ms
troopers.fi = 7ms
qw.thejews.se = 9ms
fog.mine.nu = 10ms
wargamez.dk = 11ms
qwtkt.gamecod.ru = 12ms
qw.fi.quakeservers.net = 12ms
xs4all clanwars = 20ms
geeky.cc = 27ms
qw.playground.ru = 33ms
qw.dybbuk.de = 34ms

take away that qizmo you got running, (btw hi pangela ) and add qwfwd, qwfwd is like qizmo but much better!
Qizmo is outdated and dead nowdays.
There is onething thats very important to add nowdays and that is QTV.
If you have all these three stuff, the servers will be popular as hell

Welcome to #qtv for more questions

is it added to quakeservers.net and to the qwstats page yet? that would make it easier for those who uses those pages (read: me) to know when there is any players on the server \o/

edit: I see now that it's added to quakeservers.net, great! just the stats page missing now!

Awesome!
Works perfect for me(that means for much more .ru players also) - direct 19ms , 25 in game
Really usefull since routing to exeme servers has been fckd..
Now I expect qwfwd proxy being installed aswell!

Everything seems to be running fine. I've added http://ftp.yi.se/pub/games/quakeworld/maps/mappack1.zip to, so I guess it's all maps, but if you miss any, post here and I'll add them aswell.

This was the only working route over Sweden for me. Any word when pangela is back up and running? Essential now that EQL11 is about to begin!

Very nice

Remember to use the newest qwfwd, as there were some valuable server features added recently
