/me creeps out of his cave

Hi all, I have never got round to running the servers as a service so they need manually restarting.

Zalon got me via this page: http://blog.geeky.cc/contact.aspx so they are back up again.

I am happy to keep them up but if they go down, I need a kick ;-)

Do they need updating / reconfiguring?

I've added them back to QuakeServers.net too.

Thanks so much! The proxy is very useful when my isp is playing up Sadly today it's being worse and I get 21ms instead of 12ms to it. Oh well thanks again.

Other servers seem to be running MVDSV 0.30 instead of the 0.28 yours is running. Maybe that could be updated?

The server is having lag spikes constantly.
It is the best server for some countrys like portugal.

Too bad it is unplayable now

Can you fix it?

Sorry I missed that wushu.

Is it still a problem for you?

I can't remember anything, so can someone tell me how to update the server? Cheers.

http://qw-dev.net/projects/mvdsv/files

I'm guessing the files needed are under the "Later versions" tag and as HangTime said setting sv_antilag 2 in the server config.

Can any server admins help/confirm?

Thanks gore - I had a look there but can't see any upgrade instructions - can I just copy mvdsv.exe over? From mvdsv-antilag-rev998.zip?

I've just setup the servers to run as services so they should always be running.

Well I only have limited experience with servers but just copying over the .exe should work. Although you may have to download qwprogs-revision1055.zip also as mine would crash without it. Then simply add sv_antilag "2" to server.cfg and all should be ok.

It should all be cool - I did spot that MVSDV.exe was using 25% CPU (1 Core) a while ago so I restarted it and it was all good - back to grand total of 1-2% CPU.

The servers should all restart in case of system update now that they are running as services so there is not much more that I can do. I will try to pop in here every once in a while to check for problems though ;-)

If you and your friend notice PL / spikes at the same time (likely to be the server at fault) please let me know and I will hassle my connection providers.

Have fun!
