I played qw very regularly back in the days of 56k modem madness. '97 to 2000ish. Got to a decent level. Moved onto Tribes, then CS.

Im pleasently surprised that theres still a community for the greatest online game ever (imo). I installed the game again via nQuake. I can get the game to run, albeit i get graphical problems, which i can solve by alt tabbing to desktop then back into the client, but its a pain. Also, i dont seem to have dm2,dm4,dm6 maps. Everytime i join a server running those maps, it doesnt let me download them.

Any help would be appreciated. i wanna start fighting in the phone box that is dm4 again.

f.nu/pak1 for pak1.pak put it in id1 folder next to pak0.pak

Could try setting gl_ztrick to 1 for fixing that gfx issue.
You should also get on irc channels like qwrookie etc
