I'd skip the rl-shape of the weapon, since it fires all weapons in quake

I don't like the model posted by "love_ruohis" it doesn't look faithful, dont use the rocketlauncher like in the model he showed, im with peppe, keep it like the original

it means i try to make the model look like it belongs to quake as much as possible, dark but detailed textures and high detail recreations of the original models

btw, here are some first shots of all the g_models, they are starting to take shape, still need to do a lot of tweaking and shaping to get it just right

i took the boots and pants and made a nice suit instead, also half finnished
and just for the record, imo the player model some here have been posting and showing me is really good looking, but it's too skinny for quake, looks more like quake 2

I think you should consider changing the pent star to a five-cornered one instead of the David's star you currently have.

A NEW Player model is the only model thats REALLY needed. But the rest of your work Is NICE and great for a open pak0. equake is getting alot of shit for including pak0 in its distro, but custom models and sounds and maps can change that for new players. Besides, equake IS NOT ezquake so, who the fuck really cares eh? I mean whats equake, new hud gfx?? Bah I havent seen any CODING specifics in any eQuake dox pure fluff. sad...

well the player model is the one that takes the most time, so i figured i'll make the other models first so that you guys will have something to play with while asking me twice a day "is it done yet", "when will it be done", "getting close already?"

one problem with that would be that fuhquake ain't under development any longer

but if the new models are md3, that won't matter since fuhquake can't use them anyways

i'we been using Quick3D to convert md3 to mdl, but that program sucks, sometimes it doubles the vertice count and it goes over the limit, and then it mirrors the texture cordinates... find me a better way to convert md3 to mdl and i'll think about releasing a mdl pack

some more tweaking is still needed though...

maybe something to keep in mind as u model, the dimensions and shape are just perfect on this guy. unfortunately if u didnt know the creator (neogenisis i think) never left this model in anyones hands that im aware of , so its lost. but i know u could do a great job to re-create something similar, or use ideas from it to encoporate it into yours.

keep it up buddy!!!!!!!!!

I got the guy who did that model on msn, i could ask him if he would hand to model over to someone else?
