the rl is too thin on the lower part, looks really strange. otherwise, great!

i have a hand modelled, texturing the hand will be a bitch
and have to remodell the blade of the axe

an old rendering, not at home at the moment so don't have anything fresh on this:

the hand is a bit bigger on the current version

edit: have to work on the rl, i'll start to experiment and compare with the original model.
don't really know what to do with the texture, the original rl didn't have that much to the texture..
while typing this i got an idea of what to do with the vents to give it something extra...

As always with any other model maker, the RL is the only model I think looks bad when fired with gun x position tweaked, all the other models look _great_ (especially the SG/SSG/GL!).
Think you can give this some work?

Quad: AWESOME!
Pent: Too round.
Ring: Too shiny/smooth.
Runes: AWESOME!
Keys: Looks a little like painted Warhammer stuff, not as good as quad/runes but ok.

I'll try to explain about the RL with a screen later. But basically it just looks really skinny and with the slow kickback it looks kinda retarded (also looks like it doesn't really kick _back_ but rather kick back and a little to the side), but this goes for all RL-models I've seen so you're not alone

ruohis. i think those models look totally awesome. i guess im not one of those faithful fanatics tho, so i wouldnt mind having a QW that looks as crisp and up to date as possible.

i hope you keep working those to perfection (even tho i think they are pretty damn nice already) and release em.
AND.. i hope the are compatible with ezq.

Wow, I think they are marvelous (and if you know how I love criticising that means a lot from me )!

Critic (can't do without): The Quad is a bit purple, should be some colder lighter blue I think.
The ring is a bit too shiny/glossy, yes.

RL, what molgrum said. LG, those new LGs always look so incredibly edgy. Has anyone tried remodelling a round one yet? I use a nice round (but 8bit skinned) one from Makaqu: http://shub-hub.com/files/images/makaqu_lg.jpg
The SNG looks weird to me, no idea about it, probably the original model is weird too.

Man, you are doing awesome work. These powerups are best models i've seen for QW, and the ring is a killer! Weapons are good, but RL, LG and SG needs to be tweaked a bit.
I hope there will be more HQ replacements for old parts of the game so it won't be so low-poly anymore.

Please name your files in lowercase when you release them, for the Linux-people to not have the trouble of renaming them.

Btw, the ring looks like a cheerio (try making it thinner!)

try it ingame, modified the animation... it's now similar to gl animation, better or worse, i know i'm not happy...

personally i like the edgy version more, but try this out and se what you think of it (same texture as the other model)
although it looks freakishly good ingame when i just tested it...

please explain SNG weirdness more... and please others post your thoughts...

my opinion on the lg... some weapons are not supposed to be round, for example, the gl looked weird when all details where rounded, then when i modelled some parts of it more edged it looked a lot more powerful. maybe not be a straight triangle but something in between, lightning isn't round so why should the lightning gun be? it should be a bit rough..

I prefer the blueish sk.

You are right about the round lg, it looks kinda weird. Still I myself prefer it (not quite faithful here, heh).

SNG. The old model has a distinctive non-roundness too and I think it is important. I just love the \_/ (upside down) look of the barrels.

Yummy!

Another idea for SNG: Its front looks quite thin, it feels like some kind of squeezed "filigree" thing (almost like tweezers(?)), not like a powerful weapon that shoots nails of death with that awesome deep bass sound. Maybe shorten the barrels (would be bad for fov90 players) or widen them to change the effect of perspective.

I like this new kickback of the RL alot, nice work! I'm not sure how much apart from being faithful you want to go, but it looks kinda same-colored, think you can add some sort of decoration on it? Maybe make it shorter/wider too.
