That looks cool, but like with all great player modeling projects, it looks like it's not gonna be finished - look at the date (28-Sep-2007)

-But maybe monkeyrat can tell us?

"There's also a release of my old (crap) player model for FTE, that uses the rgbGen topcolor/bottomcolor. Basically 24-bit top and bottom colour support. Again easy to install, dump it into the dir /id/ hit ` for the console and punch in gl_nocolors "1". After that color 1 6, teamcolor 10 8 & enemycolor 3 4 will work." "DOWNLOAD"

and the windows......will they ever be put back [says removed atm]

LOL I forgot about the old one. Thats like from 2003. Hehehe. Was gonna change his gun to a tooth paste tube and axe to a tooth brush to match his smile.

The other quakeguy, I was messing a round with it and kinda lost interest. The chances of me finishing it are slim, haven't even rigged or animated the fiend and he's cool.

I re-uploaded the old quake model, if you want him dunnno why he's there. And also added the windows to download too.

i also noticed that the other one was not done cos he was in the anitomic alined form [wher the arm and legs stick out and the head is held high, supposed to be the body in perfect alingment]...wow that was alot of type

ok now i have it as an mdl cos for some reason qrack wouldent put the clolred shirts on [funny because it uses that same player_shirt/pants deal]

but now quake says the skin is too big [somthing like over 480 in hight?] so my queston is how do i compress...wait i just thought of somthing

hmm it did not work
how can i compressa texture so it fits withing the 480 hight of the base skin {pcx}
and keep it looking good on the player and not having the images gettng ALL CUT UP SO ITS HARD TO WORK WITH

stupid capslock

any suggestions or programs?



oh and also i think i will replae the colgate white toothpase face with moondrunks black flag guy

and it has just occured to me... that other one that looks cool u made but might not finish looks like the lead singer from Minor Threat

I just use photoshop for pixel stuff. But you need to downres the texture that the md3 is using before you save it to mdl with quick3d (keeping a copy of the high res one for the mdl) see http://www.quakeworld.nu/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2169

still not sure sure why you want the model let alone the a mdl version.
But I had a quick look, the player skins on the mdl have to be 296x194 over wise the texture uvws go screwy.
I think its got something to do with the external .pcx skins been 320x200, must be somekind of voodoo magic.
You can still have external texture 24-bit of what ever size.

Heres a mdl version for you anyway, just dump it with you other paks don't bother to rename it, latest ezquake can handle pk3 and the random name. The top and bottom colours should work too.

i had converted it with quark via the

md3>qlk [err..quake model]>mdl
but then quake wall all like player skin has to be in 480 hight so i changed that by cutting off a bit of leg and foot from skin

and the weird part was the exturnal 24 skin would follow the pcx'x setting wich was strange effects like on the shoulders the amour part would move up and pu the arm part of texture on

and at one poind ealing with this i had to reinstall quake completly :/ because it gave me warning like

"r_ SetPlayerSkinModel=34&6" or somthing :|

so this definaltly helps thankx you
