myth uses ESDF for movement and space for jump. He places his index finger on F, middle finger on D, ring finger on E, and pinky on S. Just another little oddity that shows preference is what works best.

God punished me to be left-handed so enter +jump and arrows for movement

I'm left handed too but i use mouse2 for jump. Standard WSAD for movement. And i use right handed mouse settings. I click left mouse button with middle finger, that's all. try it, it fells natural and you will have more keys around wsad for binds than around arrows.

I think Space is the best for jump tho tbh. Using space (or any key) to jump and mouse to move forward would result in better movement/aim I think.

And why is that? its all what u are used to isnt it?

Think all pressure on the mouse is bad for the friction(?). Didnt some ppl find shafting better when using space to get the mouse "light"?

still wasd + space for me

pinkyshift for gl :> and rl on m2 ..boomstick for life!

The extra friction is desirable for me, because I use a high sens. And I dare say anyone with a medium to high sens.

esdf
space
m1 rl
m2 lg
m3 gl

from memory esdf is one of those combinations you can mash more extra keys with without losing any keystrokes.

WASD + M2.

Q = lg
shift = rl
e = gl
alt = ssg
5 = sng

space is just for: "say "

I think it helps with trying to move in one direction and aim/shoot in the other. I sometimes see people do things that with my current setup would be quite hard. They can do it with ease and are doing the same thing in multible directions

Its hard to explain

wasd + space for me since always

When i tried q3 back in 99 I used sujoy's q3 setup which was something like IJKL + . to jump - i liked it, because you have much more keys you can use around that area

I tryed to used mouse2 to jump in the past but i couldnt
never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

IKJL is interesting idea. It will allow me to tap space easier (maybe i'll bind shaft or quick grenade to it) + more keys around so it can be more useful than setup i use currently. I'll give it a go.
