As you may already know, there will be a "mini" Dreamhack in Skellefteå (northern Sweden) March 27-30 (thursday-sunday) with up to ~1000 seats (see http://www.dreamhack.se/ )
I've been asked to see if there is interest in a Quakeworld tournament there, so please answer the poll and voice your opinion in the thread if you care.

northern Sweden is a hostile environment, much like the Alaskan tundra. Also, it's too far away.

i see no poll. anyway, i'd be very interested in speccing such a event from my cosy and warm home. going there doesn't sound very inviting after reading soma's description (aka no money/time).

Dreamhack Winter was very nice, but i don't think i would go to Skellefteå even if it was something similar. I'm too lazy, and waiting for the next Dreamhack event in Jönköping of course.

I would really want to participate, although I'm kind of new to this game. I am going to attend the LAN since it's in my hometown, and if there are no skill requirements I'll join the tournament aswell.

I just got off the phone with the CEO of Dreamhack AB, sadly, they have decided not to hold a Quakeworld tournament at the Dreamhack Skellefteå event.
He did confirm however that there will be one at DH Summer, like I said last night of QHLAN.

That only means the one at DH summer must be 10x as kickass you know :I

I also think it's better this way, as we now can focus on the summer event
