Hi !
I have serious problems with QW + my new VGA.
Just bought a Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 8600gt,and after 10 minutes qw,its temperature goes up to 100 °C (OMFG!).
I have tried other games, but the VGA didnt get that warm (max 60 °C).
Im using Windows XP SP2.

My command line :
ezquake-gl.exe -width 1280 -height 1024 -bpp 32 -conwidth 320 -conheight 200 -gamma 0.7 +set vid_displayfrequency 75

Has anyone a suggestion?
Thanks

What fps du u run qw in? I used above 1000fps (640x480) on a 7600gt and it would get quite hot (70c), now i use cl_maxfps 600 and its get up to about 60-65c.

Im using cl_maxfps 0. It means my fps jumping between 600 and 1300.
Now I tried cl_maxfps 313 ,and the VGA's temptature is 'only' 83 °C. Thanks for the suggestion!
But i think it is still abnormal.

Make sure the damn fan on the card is running when the computer is on. I had a few decent cards that I ended up replacing fans on.

ye, it seems abnormal. Would guess that qw would be a pice of cake for the 8600gt

My 8600GT has passive cooling. But i guess my cooling is ok,the other parts of my hardware are under 45 °C.
