Whenever I get close to a friend/enemy with quad or pent, my game gets really choppy. It's like the FPS drops down to 5.
Same thing happens if I use r_explosionlight x and rocketjump. Gets really annoying.
I've looked through my CFG and I can't figure it out. Maybe it's something easy I've overlooked?
r_lightflicker is 0, that used to cause me even more trouble.

So it can't be because of a bad system either.

Anyone know the solution or has had the same problem?

Had similar problem with my radeon x850. v_dlightcshift "0" solved my problem (works with gl_flashblend "1".
