This may seem obscure, but would it be possible to edit the ezquake source, to the effect that kills is displayed on the scorboard as KILS instead of KILLS?

I know that sounds pretty stupid, but if I was able to do that, the Team Fortress scoreboard could display:

Kils Dths Tchs Caps all at -conwidth 512.

Why is that important? Well, presentation really. With my new ZelTF I want it to look as nice as possible, and nothing compares to -width 1024 -conwidth 512.

And if this is possible, could someone guide me to how I might go about this?

thats not where the scoreboard definitions are found. )-;
Doesn't matter anyway, ive decided to go with a smaller hud in keeping with other modern fps games.

If I've understood your post correctly, you want to make one column in the scoreboard smaller, so that the scoreboard can be drawn with all columns even if conwidth is 512.

I've tried hacking scoreboard drawing function yesterday (it's Sbar_DeathmatchOverlay function at line 1088), but it's more then 300 lines and more then 30 variables in there and that's like way too much for one evening

yeah its cool...

thanks for lookin but i decided to bail on the idea, and go with conwidth 800... its a smaller hud, which is probably better in keeping with modern games anyway.

thanks for looking tho...
