zelTF 1.3 is out.

See http://quakeworld.nu/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1905 for more details.

=====================================================================

To celebrate the upcoming release of TF2, I decided it was about time someone released TF1 as a completely stand alone and ready to play game, so here it is: http://quakeworld.nu/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1905

Sorry for spamming up this channel but its easy to miss the Team Fortress section all the way down there.

Want to see heaps of aussies and nzers back in #oztf ready for some gaming. Or pubbing in my server at:

there's no difference, it's a team fortress standalone package

it's kind of like downloading fquake and installing team fortress, only it's only team fortress, and made to be only team fortress, whereas in fquake team fortress is just a mod without any real focus on it.

Posting on fortress-forever Zel, you confused the poor simple TFC players with your complicated standalone installer.

Well im "smart" enough to install it i guess, but i dont want the hassle. So i wont install it, lots of other people probably thinks the same. What if Firefox just released the source... dont think it would be so big now :-P

hey all just an update regarding zeltf in case anyone was wondering.

zelTF v1.2 stable will be out within a couple of days. It's finished now, just doing a bit of testing before release. It will be hopefully very easy for anyone to download and play some tf with a minimum of fuss. For more info see the zelTF sticky thread down in the Team Fortress forums.

Glad to hear in Brasil. Australian qwtf scene has been very active since the release of zelTF. 80 people in irc.enterthegame.com #oztf right now. Weve been playing 8v8 matches every night.

This topic has nothing to do with server related stuff, except for one post by empezar requesting a zelTFserver. Would you please move this thread back to the general discussion?

zelTF is quite simply an installer that contains everything one would need to play QuakeWorld Team Fortress from scratch, in a very similar vain to nQuake.

No.

Server Talk

Discuss MVDSV/KTX and other server related items.

Your zelTF is obviously a mod, that is server related item and therefore it goes to server talk forum, like does the another thread by you (again concerning about zelTF "mod".

Empezar's nQuake topic is on general talk only because he refuses to think that his so called "installer" is more related to client talk than general talk and he is an admin (even if some admins agree on having the thread on client talk forum).

Im sorry renzo but I really dont follow you here?

zelTF is an installer just like nQuake. It is for TF instead of DM, but it is a QW mod. It is not a client, and it is most definately not a server.

I could sort of understand if you wanted to stick it in client talk but I'm still unable to see how it has anything to do with server talk?

Mods run on a server, so mods are part of server thread to keep main forum page as short as possible I think

So this one installs a client with all the required stuff? Then it goes to client talk.

Ok move it to client if you like, tho the client is just plain old ezquake.

Its just an installer, but I'm happy for you to place it where you like, tho I would suggest of the two, client is a much more suitable home.

Anyway enough of this off topic banter.
