Some changes IMO:
(first, where can I find you on irc?)

---------------------------------------------------------
your command line is currently
-mem 32 -width 800 -height 600 -conwidth 800 -conheight 600 -bpp 32 -dinput +set s_khz 44 +set vid_displayfrequency 85

I recommend:
-width 800 -height 600 -conwidth 800 -conheight 600 -bpp 32 -dinput +set s_khz 44

mem 32 is default, and if you force 85 display frequency, people on lcd's or bad monitor's can't start quake.
---------------------------------------------------------
I recommend using a newer version of ezquake, newer than 1.8 stable that you are using. Msg me and I'll give you one.
---------------------------------------------------------
delete ZelTF\qw\textures\wad\fuhquakedefault8.png (why's it there)
---------------------------------------------------------
I recommend using a nicer hud:
http://gfx.qwdrama.com/details/120/
http://gfx.qwdrama.com/details/119/

in this style:
http://gfx.qwdrama.com/details/2/

and this font:
http://gfx.qwdrama.com/details/79/
or
http://gfx.qwdrama.com/details/77/
---------------------------------------------------------
delete all the lits. makes some maps ugly IMO
---------------------------------------------------------
delete:
try*.bsp
1on1expert.bsp
3on3bu.bsp
accel.bsp
amth1.bsp
arena1.bsp
aztec2.bsp
bfort.bsp
deathstr.bsp
dust.bsp
expert.bsp
japk.bsp
keep2.bsp
kotc.bsp
long.bsp
mordor1.bsp
muskrat4.bsp
rfort.bsp
soccer13.bsp
stag2.bsp
xpress2.bsp
z7.bsp
z9.bsp

i'm a pretty big TF player, and those maps are hardly EVER to NEVER played, atleast in the US.
I recommend adding:

optics5.bsp
preskool.bsp
midair.bsp
rs_zz1.bsp
genders2.bsp
openfire.bsp
insanity2.bsp
pimpval1.bsp
metal.bsp
egypt.bsp

those maps are very commonly played here.
---------------------------------------------------------
delete
ZelTF\FORTRESS\altprogs
ZelTF\FORTRESS\mcycle
ZelTF\FORTRESS\qwmcycle
ZelTF\FORTRESS\SERVCFG.ZIP
these are out of date and not needed to play tf.
---------------------------------------------------------
need a more faithful base.pcx skin than the one in fortress\skins
---------------------------------------------------------
you need to make it so gamedir is set to fortress when you open zeltf. this is so someone can open quake and type map 1on1r and start hopping around.

also, i've heard a lot of complaints with setinfo string length errors with zeltf.

here are some things you should add to one of the configs for tf:

setinfo msg ""
setinfo noaim ""
setinfo chat ""
setinfo ch off
---------------------------------------------------------

Let me know if you need help with any of those.

Please find me on IRC. I'm on quakenet #ezquake or gamesurge #fortress-legends

P.S. please don't concentrate on a zeltfserver until the client is more stable =p

up2, bfort.bsp and rfort.bsp are a part of 2fortse.bsp (more specificly, they are the "flags" and shouldn't be deleted.

This is nice, but, I have a Intel Graphics card, so, my screen like flickers and I've tryed EVERYTHING in the Quakeworld FAQ and stuff, but, they don't do anything.A little help would be nice!I tried the command "scr_conalpha 0", "-bpp 16". And by the way, I'm on a Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 operating system.

zelTF v1.2 (1st Stable Release) will be out within the week. It is a massive improvement on the beta version whilst being newb-friendly. Also soon to be announced is the official zelTF website.

New features include:

- Now incredibly easy to redefine keys, simply click the settings shortcut, and all the keys are there to be edited in one convenient location.

- New and currently unreleased ezQuake 1.9 Alpha

- Auto ID script - now you know who your looking at.

- New high quality sound effects by Jeremiah Sypult (http://www.mindabuse.com/mindgrid/audio/quake)

- New sound notifications by zut - "red team has the blue flag", "megakill" etc sounds to notify you of flag status and kill streaks.

- New map dependent skyboxes.

- Fixed setinfo bug.

- Much smaller installation file ~100mb. Though a much smaller base map set. More will be downloadable from zelTF site.

- Communication binds are complete.

- New fragfile.dat - Touches now show on mbasesr, among other things.

- Fixed weapon and class scripts.

- Some defaults changed - Player with flag now glows green instead of purple which is confused with duck on 2night2. Dead bodies are no longer hidden so you can see feigning spys.

- Removed broken eyes.mdl.

- Replaced /fortress/base.pcx with default skin.

- Removed a bunch of useless files.

I had trouble using 1.9 a while back, there was a .pcx error and the engies skin didn't load. Dunno if its still there, it was already listed as a bug on the ezquake sourceforge thingy.

no, that error was resolved.

remember that 1.9 is an unreleased build which may contain bugs at time of compile. i sent zel a pretty stable 1.9 build, so there are no problems.

Nice, checking out the new release! (Ok apparently its corrupt, not uploaded yet or bad upload?)
Until now i've found it difficult to setup, but this is a really good build of TF.
I got a server running and so far it's a lot of fun, managed to finally get some guys I play with on our TF2 server to play some QTF.

Thanks for your efforts,
- Ravey
