I updated ezQuake to the latest version and added Trickle's vwep models.

I also fixed the vhost problem so www.nquake.com is now working again (down for like two days?).

I also renewed the nquake.com domain for another year for $20 I don't have. Ads on website has brought in $44 (about $12 of those during 2008), but I can't access them until it reaches $100.

Looks like I didn't really add Trickle's weapons (I added them to the wrong zip file).

Now they are added. I adjusted the v_weapons and g_weapons to match the w_weapons.

I also moved the demos from qw\demos to qw\matchinfo\demos where they can actually be found through the demos menu item.

- Re-add ezquake.svga

I don't know how you managed to install nQuake without getting a /ezquake/configs directory, cause it's there for me in a fresh nQuake install on Ubuntu.

God damn me. I renewed nquake.org instead of nquake.com. Another $15 down the drain.

Maybe have team and enemyskins on defult. Sometimes nquake users get yelled at at servers because they don't have skins and kill teammates.
Also maybe have in_mouse 3 as defult. Most ppl i run into who have downloaded nquake says 3 feels better when i make them aware of in_mouse 3.
And get it listed at open source games on wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source_games http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_open_source_games)

Christmas update:

* ezQuake updated to v1.9.2 for Windows and Linux (OS X was already updated).
* Re-added lumas to textures (waited for bugfix in 1.9.2).
* in_mouse now defaults to 3.

I also removed shub-hub from mirror list as it will soon go offline.

Actually the Shub-Hub mirror is already gone, didn't I message you on IRC? Big big sorry if I didn't.

Luckily finding a successor went much faster and easier than I anticipated. I still have all the files until mid January, but some stuff is not "online" anymore.

I'm talking with fog about it, or rather waiting for him to answer. So currently my answer is no, but hopefully soon it will be yes.

I could use another mirror though seeing as two mirrors are going down and only one coming up.

Did you try it with "in_raw_allbuttons 1" too ?
If I don't use that on my MX518 button 6-8 will not work.

I was thinking of something that might affect qw in a positive way. In order to stay on par with todays shooters we should get over the fact that it's no match for today's cod5s and gta4s with intricate storyline and top notch graphics, and present qw in a different way, much like a free flash game with a pick up and play gameplay and simple readable graphics, maybe using a plugin to launch it right off nquake.com.

We should be able to do like warsow did, they build a whole community from nothing....
It isn't like with mods that build on the playerbase of the original game, or new games that get players buying it in the stores and reading reviews on gaming sites and in magazines.

It's a whole new game thats only available online. The same with nexuiz.

we just need to advertise more, I like the way nQuake is setup now. we don't need to have flashy comic book graphics to grab people's attention.

we should advertise on Steam forums and moddb. a lot of people still think Quake 1 has the same old glquake engine.

I did not mean we should make qw look like warsow, i just ment we should be able to attract players the same way they did

heh, when watching quake on youtube i hardly understand what is going on. Perhaps if done in 3rd person, and camera doesnt move to fast, it would compress better and be more watchable.

You got me, I'm an octopus... (the front middle button on an MX518 is button 6+ so that's why it's important =))
Just noticed that the in_raw_allbuttons is only available in the development release so it won't be officially available until the next ezQuake version is released.
