ok i guess this is a pretty stupid thing, but my brain always takes a time-out on this topic. i just don't get it...

standard resolution is 1280x800 on this 13,3" screen. i just can't find a good resolution for qw. doesn't matter if i try 640x480, 800x500, 800x600, 1024x640, 1024x768, 1152x720 or 1280x800 from the ezquake menu, everything looks squeezed together ingame. i also tried different fov's but nothing seems right.

i don't have this problem with q3. everything looks just fine in q3 and i just can't figure out what's wrong lol.

uuh man sorry i have no idea what you're talking about i just chose a resolution from the ezquake menu and hit "play" hehe
i tried using -width and -height in the ezquake commandline but somehow that doesn't seem to work.

*edit*
aaaah problem solved! newbie-guide ftw! conheight/conwidth was messed up! i set it to 1/2 my normal resolution. looks fine

btw i think i owe you a beer by now. thanks for helping with all my questions! i appreciate it!
