Why not just use Starbuck's Debaser textures?

Was wondering when you would get around to releasing these. They are very nice, indeed. Makes the old high-res. textures look like low-res.

Very nice textures indeed, but the thing is: Make some UNIQUE textures. Dont just go and do "faithful" ones, we got plenty of those.

Actually, better yet, Quake needs some faithful textures of the ones that are not yet done. The quake Revitalization project, for example, has many textures left out (is there any progress being made anymore? I can't seem to find any information or news updates on it). I was also playing the Scourge Of Armagon today (the Quake mission pack #1), and noticed that many of the base textures are not done either. I think someone just has to take the textures from the Quake Revitalization project and modify them to match the missing textures in Armagon.

Anyway, just a few thoughts. Sorry if I went a bit off-topic.

It's true that there arent faithful high-quality textures for every map out there but for Aerowalk such exist already. But yeah, all new textures are good textures..I'm glad that there are people who are constantly improving qw, and I don't mean to put anyone down. This texture set is awesome but what I'd really like to see is a unique set with a fresh idea / theme. [/offtopic]

I think the metal and floor textures look a lot better decolorized (dark)

I am (and I guess Rare is too?) still doing textures for The Quake Revitalization Project.
Last time I checked there was some 30-40 textures still left to do.
btw I think QRPs focus has always been on original quake and not the mission packs.

Yeah, I know. I was just mentioning Armagon for anyone who is bored. All the textures that are missing are already done in some form. They just have to be mixed and matched to make up the missing textures.
