I listen to a shitload of electronica: dnb and electro mainly. I also like russian folk music, classical (full orchestra, strings, and piano mainly), and industrial ambient (like Lustmord and Inade (a recent development)).

Drop me a line if you wanna do some fun music tasting!

I'm also on last.fm, nickname hoots2. Befriend me.

PS. UI thanks for the nice comment on the maps forum about slip appreicate it. I'm actually editing it to be better for duel! lemme know what you think..

I was playing on drums in my band. We played metal, mostly covers (Metallica, Moonspell, Anathema, Slayer, Iron Maiden etc.), and we started to make some own songs. But then all members finished high school, went to college and everything fucked up
But I'm in love with drums, listenig Dream Theatre a lot, drummer from this band rocks, he's my idol .
It's very pity that we don't play anymore and rather this is impossible that we start it in the future, maybe in different squad (I hope).
Sorry for my bad english

inertia - If you're into industrial/ambient you'll wanna check out the following bands:

Recoil
Front 242
Converter
Jean Michel Jarre
Robert Miles
Sawako
Rutherford
Irrlicht
Fractured

and you should definitely get your hands on Junkie XL - Beauty Never Fades, because that is one BITCH of an ambient track. Ooooh yes.

Yeah, Mike Portnoy owns but he's nothing compared to Toto's Simon Phillips. A friend of mine told me a story from one of Toto's recording sessions. After having recorded one of their new tracks, the band sat down in the studio to do some mixing. Simon said that he thought the song was a bit slow in the chorus, so he raised the tempo by 2 BPMs. Ofcourse Luke and Dave didn't believe him, so they checked his story against a digital metronome.

... exactly 2 BPMs faster, only during the chorus.

I saw Depeche Mode live last Saturday. That was great. On Friday I'm gonna watch Covenant, and then Toto will play in Copenhagen on Tuesday. This is starting to look like a good concert spring...

my musical interests are somewhat varied. Like most people what I listen to depends on what I am doing. But for qw, nothing can harmonize better than Led Zeppelin. Another more recent band that plays well with qw is The White Stripes.

The key to getting the sound you want out of your computer is this: http://www.headphone.com/products/headphone-amps/the-micro-line/headroom-micro-amp.php and this:
http://www.headphone.com/products/headphone-amps/the-micro-line/headroom-micro-dac.php

Of course you can use them with your ipod to get sound that is not possible to describe in words. If you weren't going to use it for mobile purposes, it might be wise to take a look at one of their desktop amps

I don't get it. Does it connect by USB to the portable media player? Because otherwise it's bullshit - you can't amplify away the flaws in the source...
