Anyone mind telling me why everyone has problems with their CH? I've had it for about 2 years now and have not had a problem.

My G5 is totally stable at 500 hz, has a nice comfort too, no lag or latency what so ever. Best mouse so for for me... And yes copperhead sux, its not even close to g5...

Change your sensitivity to something low and quickly move your mouse across a decently large distance. It should skip

All mice theoretically have a point where they can't keep tracking, laser mice (especially Microsoft's Habu, Razer's Copperhead, and Logitech's G3/5) tend to reach that random input point much sooner than other mice. There's an article HERE from ESReality.com. A few more links on ESR worth checking out:

Defcon 5: I just read all replies and you were asking earlier about checking team mates statuses. You already got your answer but there was already button for it.

Z = use this point out items, powerups, enemies, and check teammates status
bind z "shownick;_point;_point"

Well i havent notice any skipping at all g5 v1.2 but had some other distrurbing troubles with it. Sometimes the mouse felt like 60 hz or something, and lost sens for a while. But i reinstalled all drivers on xp, and qw as well, and now it works like a charm. Best mouse i´ve ever had.

Hmm. Just tried this setup again..
def wrote:
Space = select SG -> SNG -> SSG -> LG
(if LG isnt in inventory and both SSG & SNG are, selects SSG first, and succesive key strikes will toggle between SNG/SSG)

That doesn't work, I can only switch to lg sometimes... When I don't have rl or gl.

edit: Made own version of it..
bind space shaft
alias shaft "shaft-ssg"
alias shaft-sng "impulse 8 5 3 2 4 1;alias shaft shaft-ssg"
alias shaft-ssg "impulse 8 3 5 2 4 1;alias shaft shaft-sng"

alias fire_ng "crosshaircolor 255 10 255;cl_rollangle 0"
alias fire_rl "crosshaircolor 255 255 0;cl_rollangle 0"
alias fire_sg "crosshaircolor 0 255 255;cl_rollangle 0"

As someone else already requested 9999 years ago - can someone please share the config from this package? There was some timer script he used (mwheelup/mwheeldown) that would be nice to have again. I've made my own version but it's not as good as i remember his version was. :p

The download is now working again. I took the original package, removed pak0.pak, pak1.pak plus some demoes to cut down on size, 7-zipped it and uploaded it to Shub-hub. Cheers.

Honestly, I don't understand the +mforward / +mback shit. Some kind of tweak to protect against an accidental push of +back when you're still in +forward? Weird. The scripts seem borked anyway because there's no actual +forward in the +mforward, so yea you get a cl_forwardspeed set but you don't actually GO anywhere, lol.

Commented out, sticking with normal cl_XXXspeed and +forward/+back

The +mforward/+mback is there to automatically make you strafe left if you are already strafing to the right and starts pushing the strafeleft button. Without the script you would stop strafing if you are holding both strafe keys at the same time as the "forces" neutralize eachother. Without this script, it will make your change from left<->right or forward<->back slightly slower. I "accidentally" started using this script when i downloaded this setup once upon a time and didn't notice the change until someone pointed it out. Now i have changed back to "normal" movement binds as that's what is in nQuake.

Runamok.foe: The config and other parts of the whole configuration are still a valuable asset.
