The divisions for the 11th season of the European Quake League is now online and teams can start playing their matches.

With a stunning 38 teams signed up this season, we are looking for some very interesting 2 months, as the division structure for this season is set for 3 large divisions.

Each division will feature a 8 team play-offs bracket when the season ends, the season is planned to run for 7 weeks, so there is no room for idling and teams are expected to play more than 1 game some weeks.

To make it easier to find a mutual server, please use the ezQuake 2.0.1 stable as it has support for the "best route" feature, remember to set sb_findroutes 1

Good luck to all participating teams and players!

At least the EQL crew is, as they have just opened the signups for the 11th season of the European Quake League.

To get the season started as quickly as possible and avoid yet another season having it's playoffs postponed, the EQL board is hoping to run a short 1 week signup period.

This means that the next EQL season will start on the 1st of March. So hurry up and get your team signed up!

They are also encouraging people to test out a new ezQuake 2.0.1 beta that is now available for download as it supports the new "best route" feature from the nightly builds.

Read more at the EQL website or read on for the statement.

While new maps made with QuakeWorld TDM in mind is a rare thing, it's even more rare to see two active projects going at it, at the same time. But never the less that is what is happening right now.

Those of you who have been following the forum or the .qw messages the past few days, might have noticed two maps being advertised for mix-testing. To make it easier for everyone to get in on the fun, we've gathered some info about the two in-development maps.

Read on for screenshots, downloads and more information about the maps.

Spirit has added a light map-rating interface to his database of maps.

He would like to ask the players to help him rate the maps using this simple page where you answer 'yes' or 'no' (or 'skip') if you think the currently displayed map is worth trying.
