Updated: ezQuake 3.0 alpha nightly builds for Windows
localghost has set up his build server again for ezQuake nightly builds. It's now possible to get development versions (alpha) of ezQuake 3.0! Do note that ezQuake 3.0 is a work in progress and things might be broken.
Read on for links and more info!
You can find the binaries here: Nightly builds

If you have any problems please report them at Github issues if possible. If not then write here in the forum.

Some highlights:

OSX is now up to speed with the other platforms, it's a major improvement compared to before.
  • Same backend code for all three platforms
  • Fixed/added /observeqtv or just /qtv (if connected) to go to QTV. Do /qtv qw.foppa.dk:27501 to get to the QTV connected to that gameserver for instance.
  • Made /join work from when spectating QTV
  • No wideaspect settings anymore, it just works (tm)
  • Use the same fov no matter the resolution (Use the fov you had for 4:3 CRT)
  • Introduced AFK on scoreboard (feature of the year)
  • Major NQ Demo playback improvements
  • QW demo playback improvements
  • Fix downloading on FTE servers
  • Fix the problem with cfg_load'ing during game broke all aliases (it forced you to reconnect previously)
  • Fix for autoscreenshots missing the scoreboard
  • Fix for teamlock not tracking only teammates
  • Introduce sys_disable_alt_enter to disable alt-enter toggling fullscreen

Currently known bugs/problems:
  • Cyrillic support is broken (in the works of getting fixed)
  • Local keymap support broken (also in the works of getting fixed)

When it's time for beta release I will post a somewhat more complete changelog.

UPDATE: Initial code for cyrillic support and local keymap support has been added! A bug which made JPEG/JPG not working has also been addressed. cl_fakeshaft 3 has also been added for really high pingers on antilag servers. It shows lg blood on predicted hits instead of waiting several hundred ms for server to tell client to draw blood splashes. It's purely client side prediction so it doesn't change anything from a gameplay perspective but hopefully makes it a little more pleasent on a really high ping. Please feel free to try the latest nightly and give us feedback!

With some luck, OSX nightlies might become available in a near future!

HF and thanks to everyone who helps out!

I forgot to mention that the new player.mdl works out of the box. Haven't added it to the checksum list so it will say modified model but it works.

Unfortunately there are no nightly builds up yet for OSX but as the news said it's hopefully coming soon. What you can do is to get the repository and then read the COMPILING_ON_OSX.txt in the repository, hopefully that's enough to get you going

Thanks for the fixed cyrillic too.
