QuakeWorld Lan in Hungary
01 Apr 2010 @ 04:48 by lu soma
Let's face it: Hungary hasn't exactly been in the spotlight very much when it came to QuakeWorld in the last years - but that just makes it more joyous to announce that these guys will host the second (?) biggest QuakeWorld Lan of the year!

The info so far:

Date: April 16th - April 18th
Location: Budapest
Entrance fee: 7€ (yes, s-e-v-e-n Euros)
Players signed up so far: 24
Expected players: 40
Sleep at venue: yes, just bring sleeping bag as usual

The site appears to be in Elvish, but i'm guessing that's just what Hungarian looks like: http://jdg.co.hu/qw/reszletek/

Budapest might seem too far for you at first, but keep in mind that lots of budget airlines fly to Budapest, and don't forget the entrance fee is only 7 Euros. It's probably a lot easier and cheaper to get there than you'd expect! Ryanair flies to Bratislava from Stockholm. (and the train from Bratislava to Budapest only takes 2 ½ -3 ½ hours. Or you can fly to Budapest directly with Germanwings from airports such as Copenhagen, Moscow, or Hamburg - Just to name a few possibilites.

If you have any further questions, find ]SR[Zero on #slackers. He'll be happy to help out.

I would've liked to go if I only knew about it earlier :E A tip is to check out Wizzair, they are much cheaper than that shit that calls themselves Ryanair.. I got a 30 euros return between Budapest and Malmö :E
