ezQuake 2.0 Beta 1
08 Sep 2009 @ 22:59 by cz JohnNy_cz
The so-called QuakeWorld Summer Break has been announced to be over for most of the scene. For the ezQuake team it was over some more weeks ago, as we started working on getting the next version of our client ready to be released just in time. We have fixed lots of glitches we knew about and we are now presenting you the ezQuake 2.0 Beta 1 version.

The stable version should come in a few weeks after this, depending on how crucial stuff will be found during the public beta testing.

Lots of people were already using 2.0 alpha versions (our nightly builds) and were helping us with finding bugs. We would like to thank all of you who contributed to ezQuake development in this way, it's very important part of the process and you push the quality of our project forward in a significant way.

However now we would like to ask you all for even more concentrated effort to test out the 2.0 version so that everyone can use latest features of this QuakeWorld client in the upcoming leagues as soon as possible.

Q: Where should I report bugs? IRC or somewhere on this web?
A: You can ask in #ezQuake if you are not sure what you found out is a bug, but in case it is a bug we will want it to be reported on the list of bugs for sure. So please report on the web even without asking. Use the link below for the bug report form.

To me, pre-weaponswitching is broken in the beta. went back to the latest stable version and it was fixed.
It's if I got preweaponswitching on and I selected a weapon, it just took it out straight away, and whenever I shot it would go to the shotgun before shooting, autohiding only worked with preweapswitch off.
