Does that mean that the map pool will feature - but is not limited to - TB3?

Why would they do that when they had TB5 the last time? I can't imagine TB3 only bringing more players and the additional two maps are accepted by this time. :F

I'm not sure, I wasn't involved with that decision, but was told that it was to attract more oldschool players.

I too am curious about the decision behind this. It wasn't long ago that there was a contentious vote about removing dm2 from duel map pools altogether, and now you want to increase its importance by making it the tiebreaker map in every game?

Also, phil's recent tb3 tournament is by far the least active, longest-running and lowest signup number tournament he has ever had. Considering the fact that he has run so many successful tournaments in various seasons, don't you think that's an important indicator?

Attracting oldschool players at the expense of newer ones never works. If you pander to people who don't play, then people won't play.

Wazzup with not allowing ezQuake 2.0/2.1 alpha releases? Same thing goes for qwfwd proxy?? Just seems so increadibly stupid not to allow atleast qwfwd since there are no qizmos anymore, and the only thing qwfwd does is to reroute traffic.

Dm2 will NEVER be removed from the mappool, atleast not on my watch..

Ok I really want to sign up, but i'm on holiday from 19th september till 1 october so I'm gone for almost the first 2 weeks.
I will be 100% active for this tournament after my holiday. So my question is can I sign up without getting removed from the league when I return from my holiday?

Nah dm2 can't be removed unless 90% thinks so imo, but I sure as hell wouldn't miss it as a duel map.

btw maybe we should make it tb6 and add skull or some other new map. Well I would like it, but maybe it's too shocking for qw

Kwibus, there is not 6 big maps in dueling... Also 6 is a very bad number to use, it needs to be 3, 5 or 7

Ake: I did the 'register' option and didn't untick the box (i.e. so it signed me up AND registered me). I didn't see a poll after I was done and now I can't get to it.

Zalon, that's why I said "maybe we should make it tb6" which means that it's not tb6 yet
Doesn't matter though as you are right that it should be 3, 5 or 7.... so let's add 2 more maps! Nah, i'm not too serious about getting 7 maps, but I wouldn't mind. It's very unlikely to happen anyways.

If you don't untick the signup box, you won't see the poll, we are working on a different approach - because it's like 10% who got to vote.

I'd asked for this before. But server rules should be something like "pick the most fair server using johnnys ping db tool, if one player has not added his pingdump to the tool (prior to the tournament starting), the other player get to pick whatever server he wants. Be it localhost'.

Basicly im just tired to help players that have played this game for 5+ years to find a server.
