As you may know, a ctf 4on4 ladder has been opened recently.

CTF is known to be the funniest mod when played properly. I, as others, want to take part, but I don't have a team as most of my clanmates don't wanna join. So I started this thread to get myself a team and help others to get one aswell.

If you wanna try ctf, I suggest you to go to #qwctf on quakenet and ask to play. You can play 1on1, 2on2, Xonx!

If you liked it and wanna play 4on4, reply to this post with the following information:

1. Your QW nickname that you use.
2. Your IRC nickname.
3. What country your playing from.
4. What IRC channel you use. #qwctf should be used.
5. "division" you are in ctf. "1" for the elite players. "2" if you played ctf in the past but need alot of practice. "3" if you're totally new to ctf. This is a way of building "even" teams, with both experienced players and new ones.

We will setup some teams right here on the forum. According to the rules, the teams must have a irc channel. Below are the teams created:

*none

The allowed maps are:
E2M2 CTF5 CTF8 CTF2M1 CTF2M3
Start knowing the maps, where are the items. Prac with the hook (i hope there will be some explainatory videos - who helps?)

As this is a ladder, your team can join anytime.

Every wednesday night, from 20cet on, there will be pickups on quake.xs4all.nl:27600 on the allowed maps (to help ppl get involved!!) join #qwctf
I recommend to you to get in the server and get familirised with the hook and maps before joining!

See the wiki entry on ctf for download and more information. (a ctf starter pack is being made. Stay tuned!)

edit: the starter kit is done! download it here!

I was hoping more ppl to join the ladder...
hopefully more ppl will show their interest as time goes by and more pickup games are played. Its popular belief that qwctf is hard but its worth the time and effort. the hook explores all that we love in qw physics!

Perhaps we could have less stringent rules for the ladder. By allowing 3on3 games we could probably have more spontaneous games rather than having to schedule them. Nothing wrong with 5v5 either if both teams happen to have players available.

Seriously man, do you look at the dates when these threads were made?

You are answering threads that are one or several years old, the tournament doesn't exist no more.
