Agreed. in the end, i just want tdm with flags. tdm is dynamic/fast enough without all that other stuff.
And not to offend anyone, but if qwctf is so good why arent we all playing it now? (think ive already said this)

You're joking? Even in Q3 spider crossings (along with every other competition map) has always been 4v4 or 5v5.
Some common maps people might be interested in are q3wcp1 (Japanese Castles), q3wcp5 (Shining Crossings), q3wcp9, q3wcp14, q3wcp15, q3wcp18 (good for 2v2 - 4v4), q3ctf1 (kind of joke map for 1v1 and 2v2), q3ctf2, q3w2 (would be an interesting map without rail), q3w5, q3w7, and cpmctf2.

The main issue with q3 maps, especially ctf maps, is that bounce pads are broken in quakeworld. Maybe someone could port the bounce pad code from Q3 to KTX? The other issue is that Q3 has different powerups. Regen and haste aren't in QW, but maybe these could be replaced with a corresponding rune that would only last 30 seconds or so.

CTF is fun without grapple. It's ok with grapple, but becomes mostly movement based. A non-grapple league would be fun.

I think yes we can(i'm do simple q3-like jump pad few years before), but better serve pads in server code instead of mod i suppose, i will ask Tonik, he is guru in such things.

I'm relooking jump pads, for example look q1dm17, jump pads works ok, on other maps jump pads may be broken(looks like wind tube, aerowalk for example), so nothing need to be fixed about jump pads, just kick mappers asses, so they did right jump pads.

i think you should run a server for playtesting the item placement

i can come up with only one real suggestion now: rename it into q3wcp9qw, because almost all q3 conversion maps are named this way: cpm1qw, cpm3qw, q3dm6qw etc.
