It's not very popular but a real fun 1v1/2v2 map is Lady if you feel like adding it.

i was told the following this night:

Quote:
<Molgrum> message to tuna: you have the wrong version of slip.bsp on your server. get the real here http://www.qwplayers.org/inertia/slip.bsp
<Molgrum> thx bye

i receive the maps through rsync://ktx.quakeonline.net/maps and i get the following checksums:
Quote:
rsync -> e3c96e912bcb734646b11bb01345ec75
molgrum -> c4a1b9fe29ae7fae47598508b72d28a7

Well, mine is C4A1B9FE29AE7FAE47598508B72D28A7, and inertia is the maker of this map, so i guess http://www.qwplayers.org/inertia/slip.bsp should be the latest version.

Obviously not the right place for it, but what would be really impressive is getting mvdsv to support the compression. I think random server admins would be a lot more willing to run all of these maps when the combined total is that tiny.

Is anyone working on this? I think QuakeForge did gzip back in the day which helped a lot. Only real downside (that I know of) was slower load times.

Imagine a fullserver install of ktx supporting all the different gameplay modes with all the maps anyone could want, all for the same disk space as a single CounterStrike demo. How could someone say no?

if bsdm9-13 were good enough to be included...surely they'd be more readily available

the bsdm6-8 are very good, the rest is blah. 9-13 are nowhere. Just leave 6-8 (thanks for adding them btw!) and forget about the rest.

Not all of them, but you're usually playing for 45minutes+ at a much higher server framerate(else its too jerky since cs is all hitscan) + some ingame voicecomm.. It adds up.

hm, how come i forgot about this pack? I made a different mappack here http://quakeworld.nu/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1873
=)
There are lots of good maps missing in this one, is it still actively changed?
Would be nice to work together with eg the KTK/FTK staff to get those maps on the servers out there (not to mention the ignition maps...).

Ok, so far I got 644 maps. I think I'll set up a Rsync and start sorting them...
