I've made two packs of the QRP textures, one with JPEG quality 7 and resized 50% (16 + 3 mb), and one with JPEG quality 8 original sizes (58 + 11 mb). The zip files contain both versions.

Note: some of the menu items in the item textures are still tga due to transparency issues with jpeg. The sky textures in the map textures are in tga format as well.

By the way, does anyone know if the QRP project plans to replace that fugly axe texture (v_axe), and perhaps also make g_weapons textures?

Yeah, but those are v_models, not g_models. There are no retextures for g_models based on original g_models. Only plagues pak, and I don't fancy having different looks on world models and viewmodels as nQuake currently has.

didn't notice that, but still, I thought primevil finished his retexturing but seems the sng and lg g_models where left undone, but the ones he did are the best i know of

Seems strange to not do SNG but I bet it's because it's a tricky weapon to skin or something.

There are no plans finishing the v_axe atm sorry
I guess you've already tried the texture where only the blade is done, it's in the item pack!
What I remembered is that the handle is a pain in the ass to get half decent

PrimeviLs axe does the job.

I'm more interested in the g_models
