There is an English player, criminally overlooked by the national team, who during the 1990s was, IMO, arguably the most talented footballer in the UK. However, because he played for a 'small' club (Southampton), and won less than 10 caps for his country, many foreigners, especially younger ones, may not have heard of him.

Well now you have. Here is a video that I would highly recommend if you are interested in football, in fact I have yet to see a more entertaining goals compilation from any player, and that includes Messi, Ronaldo, Henry, Bergkamp, Zidane, or anyone else:

Enjoy!

He could find the net from just about any angle and with both feet. Truly amazing skill there.

Also wondered wtf was up with all the penalties, but Wikipedia gave an explanation

"Throughout his career, Le Tissier had a fearsome reputation for scoring from the spot, converting 47 of the 48 penalties that he took for Southampton.[12][13] His sole failure to convert came on 24 March 1993 in a match against Nottingham Forest, his spot kick being saved by Forest keeper Mark Crossley,[14] the feat being so unique that Crossley describes it as the save of which he is most proud.[15]"

He misses one every ten years.
