This is a new thing we are starting, one day at a week we will try and play mix games on custom/episode maps.
This first post will be updated weekly with wich server we will be playing on and what maps.

this sunday 29/5 was really fun with ctl5 and 2 old school episode maps played, too bad i was too tired but it was still fun.
I hope next time will be as good. Until then

Day:

Server: qw.foppa.dk:27505 (only this one!)

good iniciative this one,

i believe the future of qw will be rich in this kind of events.

i look forward for a short map pool, several hours of fun, short delays.

sooner or later there will not be enough players for 4on4, so i ask the organization to add a couple of 2on2 maps to the map pool as well. this would: 1) decrease delay between games and 2) keep the server populated.

The organization should also consider the possibility of a massive response to this event, so i recommend defining several ports for this one, each one with higher priority (for player entrance) than the next.
never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

another tip:
this seems to be a forum-organized event.
so, i ask muffin:
the first post of this thread will be edited every week (A), or
there will be a new post each week (B) ?

if A, keeping the thread clean will be a plus. this consists of deleting all these posts =)
if B, keeping the thread like it is now (spammed) is ok

either way, ppl don't need to reply with their response, as this afaik is an open event

It should be both. A new post every week so people can see the thread is updated with a new message, but also the initial one should be updated so people only interested in the hard facts can gather this information easily

This thread can also be used to discuss strategies or whatever on the maps played (I guess). Whether one port is enough or not, we will find out, personally I'd call it a success if enough people turn up timely and get some 4on4s going on one port

well starting a new one every week will result in a massive dead topics, better to only use this imo. Cause everyone that comes will know where to search for the info(they know about the thread obviously)

I meant a new post into this thread, not a new topic And i'm pretty sure Mushi was referring to the same, a new thread is indeed rather pointless

Even though it seemed we only got one map played, it was great to play some old episode map again. But no tdm version of the old classic next time, please ;D. Too bad it seemed to die off after the serverswitch, and that the server with the newest ctl5 was a bit laggy for many. Just sticking to one server next time sounds like a good idea.

Looking forward to the next event!

Good to hear something got going I didn't have time to play, and saw you play e2m2tdm (I agree with Rik and prefer the classic version hehe).
Hopefully, next time will be a day on which I can play.
