I installed Win32 ezquake and am familiar with the ezquake config location. I've used the menu to adjust my cfg & save it.

The problem is: every time I start ezquake, much of my ezquake config gets overwritten with very old config values from somewhere else -- \QW dir? \ID1 dir? \FUHQUAKE dir?? Attempts to fix this issue havent worked.

Also, I used to create a .bat file to startup previous quake clients. The ezquake readmes indicate I should simply start ezquake with the shortcut in the start menu..

questions:

- in what order (and from what folders) does ezquake read .cfg files for values?
- should I be starting ezquake from the shortcut created during install? Or should I create a batch file with cmd line options (like I used to do?)

Thanks for any help you can provide

Thanks Moon, it seemed like 'cfg_legacy_exec 0' would do the trick, but no. I replaced the cfgs in the \qw and \arena folders with the ezquake cfg to workaround it
