hi mates,
i am new at quakeworld and i have a question.

everytime when i frag someone i see the message on the top right in form like this message of for example "player a accepts players b shaft". but i only want to see it at the right in form of a short message like player a kills player b. how can i get this?

if you dont know what i mean look at this vid it will explain what i mean! look at the right!

but i have set r_tracker_frags to 1 and cl_loadfragfiles and cl_parsefrags to 1 too. and it doesent work :-/.

must i set con_fragmessages to 1 too?

I'm not sure but i'm guessing you need the new hud enabled.

i got 2 question more,
where can i get more fragfile.dat´s i have suched in google, but i only find 2 files :-(. is it possible to see the frag message in the middle like in quake 3?

This is always the most current version of fragfile.dat (that means it might get incompatible if we update it and you use it with some old version of ezQuake).

But fragfile.dat is a standard part of the ezQuake distribution package, for example in 2.0 pack it's placed in the qw/ folder. And I think nQuake contains that file too. So probably something went wrong when you installed QW?

Hmm, it seems to be missing from the nQuake installation. That might have been the problem.

I was wondering if it was still called ownfrags, couldn't find anything about it in the docs anymore.

I last installed about a month ago. Maybe it has been fixed since then or the mirror I used hasn't been updated?
