Slackers had had some issues with the buggy projectile implementation. Also that is a bit oversimplified way to look at things. If I try to escape some situation and get killed somewhere around the corner, I'm not going to download the demo and watch in slowmotion if I made it or not. I would just think 'oh fuck, I didn't make it'. But if someone later on noticed from demo that btw, you got killed trough wall, I'd feel a bit cheated.

I think it's developers' responsibility to test the scenarios thoroughly, like Renzo did with the bot tests, before they release some alpha versions to general public.

Nothing wrong with releasing an alpha version to the public, it is best that the public tests things first.

Hah, ok. I hope you are not a professional developer though. Can't imagine our company putting some secret features in a product with the attitude "let the customer test if it still works".

You can't get something for nothing. Voluntary minping is a far more preferable compromise.
'on 120 ping i have beaten mortuary dirtbox and reload' (tm) mz adrenalin
'i watched sting once very boring and not good at all' (tm) mz adrenalin

During the time this serverside implementation has been enabled, noone of the people who knew about it asked me to turn it off. Like I already replied above, even now that (almost) everyone knows about it, still nothing.

Renzo: Please disable antilag in all your servers

Just happened to me: I join qw.fi with 77ms, someone with 13 ms there, i ask for playing pov and he says: No because your ping is too high and i don't see your shaft hitting me on my screen. GG so now i can't play because the admin decided to enable antilag??? WTF I'd rather play with 77ms withouth antilag than not-playing at all because antilag gives me advantages over low ping players (or at least some people think so).

- Worthless effort, as i execped.
Players keep dropping in the server and they keep saying that i'm cheating because antilag + high ping is not fair bla bla bla. I don't wanna know if they're right or not, if it's fair or not, i just wanna play, and i had no preblems in playing with them withouth antilag.

I'm not going to disable antilag on Quakeworld.fi.

As for the other servers like troopers.fi, wargamez.dk... sure, as long as there are enough people asking for it.

That's why i suggested to activate antilag ONLY if everyone in the server agrees. Now it's kinda the same, if you're going to play a duel, you're going to go in a server with or withouth antilag, so both players have to agree first. IMHO all-players-agree or no antilag at all.

edit: BTW there are some players that don't like antilag enabled but are not posting it here. I could give nicks tho but, is that really necessary? Or i can ask them to post here... (Also some players keep saying that high ping + antilag is unfair, but they're not asking to disable it, WTF guys? Antilag is not my fault, neither high ping)

Keep it on, as it is now, until the next tourney with rules about this feature is declared.

Make it votable to where everyone has to agree on it, then it goes on. Otherwise default off.
