I have this problem in ezquake.. The flashes with gl_flashblend 1 are way too bright.. pent/quad "ball" is the same as in fuhquake but the shooting flashes are way brighter.. any way to fix this? I use the same quakefolder confs etc with fuhquake and no problem..

try set it down.. im not sure excatly the command to enable that ball....
But try set it to 0.5 etc..

it's cl_muzzleflash and no you can't adjust the amount of "light" with that

That looks like the simple lighting mode. Have you tried to play w/o simple lights? It negates the whole ball and replaces it with glow on nearby surfaces instead.

Yes gl_flashblend 0 works that way, but I wanna play with flashblend 1..
