I would also like to see this implemented and further developed. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get any servers running it though, considering some servers don't even have a contact person who still administrates the servers or can't be arsed to read up on the whole thing and make it work.

in the latest EZQuake test build, QTV works like a charm.. can't believe how smooth it is

you can go to this page: http://qw.speciell.org:30000/nowplaying.html
and open the links using ezquake-gl.exe.. it automatically connects you to the match

you can even use the demo speed commands to control the MVD stream: pause, slow-mo, fast forward until it catches up again with the server

imo QTV is the most interesting feature to talk about in QW today. Will be very nice when it works nicely along with proper shoutcast.

problems:
Couldnt use .bat files
when using shourtcut still didnt work (pak files missing?)
using ezquake-gl.exe still didnt work (couldnt load gfx.wad) same as shourtcuts
same with ezquake.exe

does it behave like the wc3-"qizmo" thing? it catches up by default or do you have to set that yourself?

you have to set demo speed >1 to catch up.. when you're done catching up, the speccing becomes choppy (cause there's not enough data to fast forward) and you have to set demo speed back to 1

Autotrack is not working right now on QTV so use mvd.txt that binds the players to kp_1 -> kp_9
