Recently I have plugged in 4 speakers. Forward/Rear + Left/Right.
Since I'm new to having more than 2 speakers I was wondering, if its normal that in most games (QW,Q3, etc.) I hear my speakers as if they were working in two speakers mode only (left/right. My rear speakers always act the same as forward ones, doesn't matter if something explodes in front of me or behind).
Speakers are (to my knowledge) configured properly, in some testing application I do get them to work as they should, one game also properly distinguishes this and makes all speakers act separately.
So...is Quake capable of working with 4 speakers? Do I have to change some variable? Or is there something wrong with my speakers?
Thanks .

Quake works in Stereo as far as i know, so playing surround is not possible... but well playing FPS with speakers is fucked at all... USE HEADPHONES/HEADSET! ^^
