the only reason i can think of is the pk1 file i believe. im pretty sure everything else is opensource. with that said, imagine how many people would start playing quakeworld if cfged right out of the u3 install. its small enough, its old enough for good performance on most comps, and its free. this compared to any other games that are free that people are trying to find for u3.
just another idea to try and get qw more new players... =/

a proprietary application design specification created for Microsoft Windows operating systems so that applications can be executed directly from a specially formatted USB flash drive. Applications are allowed to write files or registry information to the host computer, but this information must be removed when the flash drive is ejected.
Just put the quake folder on the usb stick, problem solved. It's even better than u3.
