What is jawnmode?
JawnMode is a few tweaks to QW to promote additional skills and remove
randomness that negates existing skills. You can toggle it in mods that
support it (KTX supports it from me) with the command "jawnmode" in the
console, if you want to try it.

Why jawnmode?
To promote a more fair environment without random being a factor in the
gameplay. The mode can be altered later on for improvements, for example
I'm thinking about adding this as a hardcoded setting too. Also stuff like this
could use a tryout.

It could be tried out one season or so, post your thoughts about it.
Remember, it's about having fun.

I'm for jawnmode bar the next things:

NG/SNG: Nail speed increased from 1000 to 1800. -- Why? Nails are quite dangerous weapon right now, but with the speed nails will be almost like LG in close fights!

GA: Protection now 50% (1:1), was 30%
RA: Protection now 75% (1:3), was 80%
YA: Protection now 67% (1:2), was 60% -- Gameplay change.

Fallbunny: Can jump straight after fall. -- Fallbunny is too easy. Gameplay change.

Fairpacks: Drop last weapon fired instead of weapon held. -- Gameplay change.

Packs: Ammo limited to 1/4 of capacity. -- Why? Is it more realistic? Don't think so.

Server side Quasi-Smartjump: Swim sound isn't played so older client users aren't so disadvantaged by clients with smartjump. -- I don't give a shit about the ancient clients. There should be swim sound!

1800 doesn't make it like LG, you'll still get a much lower percentage on your hits. That as well as 18 damage with the SNG makes it worth the number 5 as a weapon.

An efficient debate-blocker, define gameplay change and why that statement should count as an argument. It's not like /jawnmode switches to a different game, it's still QW but with tweaks (or enhancements as some may see it ).

No. I don't see any point in dividing an already small community. This goes both for introducing Jawnmode in smaller events like the Kenya tournaments, but also for introducing it to normal deathmatch gameplay. The last thing anyone wants to see is "I won't play with jawnmode enabled".

What we need are things that unify rather than divide an already slowly diminishing community.

edit: Why start two threads about the same thing? It's pretty much the same people that play in both ktk and ftk.
