Hi

Im organizing a FFA league, something like "King of Tuesday Kenya" but for FFA.
My first request for help is... which maps? Recommend some here please. They got to be big (well, somewhat big) and they got to be from kenya

The league will run weekly, prolly on thursday, running one or two 20min maps. Anyone can join during game. There will be stats, posted here on the forum. will be weekly and all-time stats. The stats will be based on screenshots + demo (unless i can figure out a more "automated" way to do the stats), from which i'll use data to write an excel sheet. Whose screenshot IS the stats ill post

After this small description of the league, a reminder: recommend some ffa maps. help plz
never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

What about the Da Maul maps from before. Will check out which ones later but I remember playing them an age ago and they were good fun. Also some of the Efdm maps were cool.

I think you should use bigger maps for ffa tournament because on those small box maps the games just become huge spamfest, maps like e1m6tdm and cmt2 might be good.

You should ask Jjonez how to do that. Don't you remember that worldwide 24hours ffa tournament he held during QExpo?

Hi guys, (i got the mail)

i had a script that checked all servers (in a predetermined and announced) list every few minutes (or seconds ?) and put the results in a file or database. then i did some post-processing to figure out which would have been the last result collected before a map change or before a player dropped. the results were therefore somewhat approximate, but i think it was quite sufficient for the pupose at that time.

i think the concept of my FFA competition was quite different, and therefore the way i kept track of the results probably wouldn't work here very well.

still, if you think it may be usefull, i can try to find the scripts and data treatment stuff. i didnt find it for the full 30 seconds i tried already, but im sure it has to be around somwhere.

Jj

edit:
all (non-technical) info is still here:

the rules were a result of the way i kept track of scores:
