damn. qw is a hard game.

I grew up hearing stuff like "qw has the highest learning curve", "qw is for pro's", "qw is not noob-friendly".
Its true
:)

Two weeks ago, there was no Clan Arena servers in europe. For quite some time I was thinking about it. Then, a series of events led to what i call CA fever!

CHEATS exist.

Once in a while, we remind ourselves that cheats in qw do exist. Usually not for a good reason. Someone got caught, or, well, someone got caught :) Gladly, today is harder to cheat in qw than it was 5 years ago. Still, there are some fellas that want to take the risk (and ruining other ppl's fun).

As everyone knows, qw "lives" in quakenet irc. Sometimes i wanted to connect to irc but had no irc client. the solution was to use a web irc. First i used cgi:irc, then www.mibbit.com came... but those have one problem: they connect always using the same ip. quakenet doesnt like that, so we were banned for a while (g-lined).

The solution has come.

my 1st impression of sweden was... freeeezing! I arrived to the lan with my mates Hectic and Meugnin (and her cousin), along with Hedgepig. The venue was great. plenty of room, nice showers, quiet sleeping area... We sitted next to Driz, behind me were the SD guys (no sassa though).

Hi,
its the third day here at qhlan, time to say something. Yesterday we had the duel semi-finals on the big screen, with sassa and phil on the speakers. It was great to watch those exciting games next to so many quakers. So far its been a wonderful experience, looking forward to the big matches and ofc playing some 4on4.
Meanwhile, i have some pictures here to share, here they are:

Mushi mushi.

You may think im crazy with a blog title like that. Maybe you're right.
If you want to keep reading, lets suppose in this blog entry, online fps games are women.

For starters, i would like to congratulate qw.nu for reaching the 2000 users mark recently. A milestone has been reached, in part thanks to the rookies that get in touch with quake in fps-related websites.

Related to that, the Ignition tournament - Season 3 - has started his engines, in signups as i write and until the end of July. For those who don't know, this is a rookie-only duel tournament with standard qw rules.
