I need help
I need someone to take over the role as "main mirror" for nQuake.
This means that I get an ftp account on your server, and all nQuake mirrors sync to your server for updated nQuake files. Actual server load only takes place when nQuake files change - which is very seldom.

Anyone interested? This main mirror could only be an rsync mirror, so even a 2 mbit connection would suffice. What I do need though is someone who can guarantee me that he can be rsync mirror host for at least a year. I don't have time to go around and change rsync server every few months

Got a server running 24/7 on my 100/100mbit line, and I don't think I'm gonna move to soon, and if I do the server will be back up on similair connection like some days after it goes down . Lets talk about it at IRC: --> #quakeklan.

Just curious, how much bandwidth does nquake use per month currently?

phil, around 260GB per month spread over five mirrors.

btw have the expenses for the domain renewal been covered? if not i could contribute a little bit.

well, the ads have theoretically paid for the domains, but I can't access the money until I make $100, and with the current pace that will take like 20 years.

i will not say that I won't be around in 20 years, but is there a way to improve the pace of the ads? or other way of income?

Yeah, Google Adsense is pretty pointless unless you have a site with very high paying keywords. Asking for donations is probably an easier, nicer way to cover costs.
